Every day at RSPCA South Australia, we see animals who have suffered from neglect or mistreatment.
It breaks our hearts. But the team here go above and beyond to turn around the lives of animals, and give them a second chance in a loving new home.
One day our team swung into action to rescue a lovely dog named Asha. When she arrived with us at our RSPCA Lonsdale shelter, she was severely emaciated with her bones clearly visible. She required round-the-clock supervision and care.
But Asha wasn’t alone.
She had seven small puppies that she had been trying to care for. She was giving her all to keep her puppies alive, even though our Chief Vet Brad thought she wasn’t far from death herself.
We nursed Asha back to health and then she was able to find a wonderful new family, with lots of food and love.
But as a charity 91% funded by community donations, we can only do this work with the help of people like you.
Please will you support beautiful dogs like Asha and give a gift today?
