Hope's Emergency Fund
Hope arrived at our Lonsdale shelter on Sunday with her left hind leg so badly broken, it was literally dangling.
The poor young puppy had been like this for two days without treatment. Immediately, our veterinarians got to work by placing her on pain relief, applying a splint to her broken leg and assessing the damage.
Having come to us through the inspectorate, Hope’s case is currently under investigation – and we can’t go into much detail about her back story.
But her condition is serious, and we want to do everything we can to save Hope’s leg from amputation – including enlisting the help of a highly skilled Adelaide specialist.
Veterinarian Dr Richard Savory, a long time RSPCA supporter and orthopedic surgery specialist, is now assessing Hope’s case to determine the scale of her complex injury and required surgery. Yet, this gorgeous girl is still so friendly and affectionate, licking our vets’ faces any chance she gets. We know she has such a bright future.
We desperately need your help to cover the costs of Hope’s complex and extensive treatment. We want to give her the life she deserves as such a naturally playful puppy, but as a charity 91% funded by community donations, we simply don’t have the funds to do this on our own.
Please, could you donate just $5 to help her? It’s the cost of one coffee – but will help ensure this beautiful puppy can have a future free from pain.
To fund Hope’s treatment and give her the future she deserves, we need to raise $2,000 all up.
We’re hoping you can help get us there.
* The goal for Hope’s fundraiser includes specialist surgery to realign the broken bone in her leg, as well as x-rays and the ongoing costs of anti-inflammatories, pain relief and rehabilitation. If her medical and care costs are less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals in need.
