Mittens and her five puppies were rescued by an RSPCA SA Inspector just in time.

Three of the puppies, then aged six weeks, had body condition scores of 1 out of 9, indicating extreme emaciation.

Mittens and the remaining two pups were also dangerously underweight.

Thanks to the kindness of people like you, Mittens and her puppies have all now found loving forever homes, where they’ll never go hungry again.

Mittens was adopted by her big-hearted foster carer Kate, who had helped lovingly nurse her back to health:

“She did so much to keep her puppies alive, now I just want to give her the best life possible.”
