We adopted Gustav (who was then called 'Buster') from the AWL in 2017, on a 'Name Your Price' adoption day. After looking at all the cute kittens in the other cages, we found Gus in the last enclosure. He made his presence known by sitting down in front of me and yowling.
Gus' favourite food is chicken, or anything he can sniff out that you've left unattended for a brief moment. He loves to sit on the bar stool behind our island bench in the kitchen and work on his cooking skills by watching my every move. Like any good socialite, he's happy to make small talk at any time of day (showing a particularly impressive vocal range when you are trying to sleep in after a big night...) He's a low maintenance man, who will aggressively chew off any attempt at blinging him up with a collar and would rather sleep in a cardboard box than his deluxe cat tree. I love him to bits, and he has brought so much joy (and fur) in to my life.
I am a passionate advocate for animal welfare, and aim to utilise my degree to help contribute toward legal reform within this area. The RSPCA undertake a huge amount of work each year in furthering the protection and promotion of animal welfare within the community.
By donating for Gus (so he can hopefully be in the top 10 fundraisers and be crowned Adelaide's Next Top Pet!!) you are helping to improve the lives of all animals, 'great and small'.
Thanks again for your generous support, this is a cause very close to my heart.
