Meet our Community Ambassadors
Jennifer Drabic, Raine&Horne Morphett Vale
Jennifer is a strong advocate and champion fundraiser for RSPCA South Australia both within her workplace at Raine&Horne Morphett Vale, and in her personal life.
She is a proud monthly donor, has fundraised for birthdays in lieu of gifts, bequeathed RSPCA in her will, and her office has just registered for their fourth Cupcake Day.
"I am passionate about animal welfare & have supported many animal charities & causes over the years but always come back to RSPCA due to their unwavering commitment to ‘all creatures great & small’. This resonates with me personally, given my love of such a wide variety of animals, being domestic, wild & farm. Supporting RSPCA also gives strength to the legal prosecution of animal cruelty cases which is incredibly important."
As well as an experienced Real Estate agent & local business owner, Jennifer is a doting Cat Mum to rescues Indra, a Torti-Seal Point Siamese & big ginger brothers Rusty & Rufus.
Olly & John Capaldo, Glynde Mitre 10
The team at Glynde Mitre 10 proudly support a range of worthy local causes, including RSPCA South Australia. Store owner John Capaldo said "RSPCA and what it stands for encapsulates what we all should do; stop the human-induced cruelty to all animals, be they pets, livestock or wildlife."
They have raised money for animals in need by running a Christmas donation drive, having donation boxes and Tap n Gives on the counter, and running a community raffle, with a great selection of kindly donated prizes.
John's son, animal-lover Olly Capaldo, spearheaded the store's fundraising efforts, and said it allowed him to gain valuable experience and contacts, while helping to fight animal cruelty and neglect.
He is pictured left, selling raffle tickets in-store with his adopted dog, Dora. Olly's dream is to one day have a large property that can be home to many more rescued working dogs.
Grace Petersen
Meet Grace, community fundraising superstar!
At just 9 years old, she is our youngest regular giver, and has participated in Cupcake Day for the past two years. Last year she baked hundreds of cupcakes and sold them with the help of friends and family outside her local general store, raising an incredible $1,328 for animals in need.
Grace told us: "I love helping the RSPCA because they protect animals and help and save them and I really like that. The RSPCA inspired me to make my own animal hospital out of LEGO and adopt two real Dingoes at Warrawong. I have 14 pets at home including the wild ones."
She is pictured here with her cat Mia Meow.
