Lizzie's Emergency Fund
Poor Lizzie came to us in February with a badly fractured
elbow joint – so painful, the young border collie couldn’t even carry her own
weight properly.
The injury poses a grave risk to Lizzie’s life. At just 10
months old, Lizzie is still growing. Without surgery, some of the bones
surrounding this injury could fail to grow normally, causing severe deformity.
We need your help to save Lizzie.
Today (March 13), we’re sending Lizzie to a specialist
Adelaide veterinary surgeon who will operate to remove abnormal pieces of bone and
possibly insert metal plates to help Lizzie move properly.
It’s estimated the total cost of this surgery plus Lizzie’s
rehabilitation will be $2500.
Will you please donate today to help Lizzie recover and find
the happy life she deserves?
* The goal for Lizzie’s fundraiser includes her initial
surgery to fix her fractured elbow joint, plus medications, vaccinations,
desexing, regular health checks and daily care – which will continue until
she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is
raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals in
need.
